Derrick “Dee” Davis is an inspirational speaker ministering to congregations all over Georgia. With a heart for adults and kids alike, his messages are seasoned with encouragement.
Derrick is an ordained minister who attends church at Bread of Life church and is also an active follower of Christ in his local community. He is the founder of several outreach ministries and actively participates in prison ministry and children’s programs.
Derrick uses the gift of encouragement to share the love of God and motivate Christians to live a life pleasing to God, active in ministry, so that the Lord will say to them “Well done, good and faithful servant” on the day of judgement.

Revivals
There have been several great revivals in the United States over the last two centuries which drew believers and unbelievers alike closer to God.
The divisive nature of politics, disregard for our neighbors, and ultimately rejection of God through personal example and weak outreach has our nation heading in the wrong direction. Revival meetings bring us to remembrance of who God is and what He wants from His people. It is also a time set aside for personal reflection which can lead to renewal and refreshment from the Lord.
Derrick wants to encourage every church he can in returning to the Lord. This is pleasing to God and necessary for every Christian who may be in a place of loneliness, feelings of rejection, or apathy.
Preaching Services
The primary responsibility of the preacher is to preach God’s Word, telling people simply and clearly what God says concerning His Son Jesus Christ and what He has done for all.
Jesus is the only way to salvation because He is the only one who satisfied the necessary payment for sin. Derrick’s preaching services range far and wide throughout the Word of God, always seeking what the Lord would have him speak to a congregation of believers.
Using the gift of encouragement, he helps people see God and His ways clearly and motivates others with inspiring messages that include practical application.
Derrick firmly believes in practical application. The Word of God isn’t something that should “go in one ear and out the other”. It should be pondered and meditated upon, with the Christian responding appropriately to what the Lord lays on their heart.
God has used Derrick in many different circumstances and in many different places to reach others. He also enjoys fellowship with pastors and church members after services.
Youth & Children’s Ministry
Children’s ministry has played a big part of Derrick’s outreach opportunities. He’s led local community events where he’s emphasized teaching biblical principles through creative activities and also taught the Word of God straight from the book.
The church only has so much time to make a positive impact in a child’s life. Derrick believes that reaching them with the Gospel early and teaching them biblical principles will help them develop into adults who cherish the Word of God and actively live the life God has called for them.
As the Word of God abides in the believer, that believer will become strong, as 1st John 2:14 states. Instilling a bible reading habit early in life can have a profound effect throughout life.
Teenagers also need positive biblical role models that aren’t just within the pages of Scripture. Having a christian perspective to lean on from other members in the congregation is important. We are to be salt and light to the world. How can we if christian teens don’t see a biblical model of life lived before them?
Derrick encourages this model through biblical example, but also works to instill a more visible display from parents and others within church communities.
